Sunclub Privacy Policy
Sunclub is designed as a local-first sunscreen habit tracker. This policy explains what the app handles, which Apple system features are optional, and how to contact support.

Data Sunclub Handles
Sunclub can store sunscreen habit history, manual log dates, streak state, weekly summary details, SPF values, notes you enter, reminder preferences, widget snapshot state, backup import/export state, and recovery history for undoable changes.
This information is used to run the app features you choose: logging sunscreen, showing progress, sending reminders, updating widgets, restoring backups, and syncing your own history across your Apple devices when iCloud sync is enabled.
Local Storage
Sunclub stores app data in the app sandbox on your device. Widgets read a small shared snapshot from the device so they can show progress without opening the main app.
iCloud Sync
Sunclub can sync revision history through your private iCloud database. This uses Apple iCloud infrastructure tied to your Apple ID. Sunclub does not operate its own server for this sync data and does not use it for advertising, analytics, or profiling.
You can pause iCloud sync in Sunclub settings. You can also manage iCloud storage and app data through Apple system settings.
Backups
Sunclub can export a local backup file and import a backup later. Backup files are created only when you choose to export them. Anyone with access to an exported backup file may be able to read the habit history inside it, so store and share backup files carefully.
Notifications
Sunclub uses local notifications only after you allow notification access. Notifications can remind you to apply or reapply sunscreen, protect a streak, or review your week. You can turn notification permission off in Apple system settings and adjust reminder settings in Sunclub.
Location and UV Features
Optional UV and leave-home reminder features may request location permission. Location is used to estimate local UV context, save a Home location for leave-home reminders, and decide when those reminders should run. You can deny or revoke location access in Apple system settings and continue using manual logging.
HealthKit
If you enable HealthKit support, Sunclub may request permission to write supported sun or UV exposure information to Apple Health. HealthKit data is controlled by Apple Health permissions. You can change or revoke Health permissions in the Health app or Apple system settings.
Camera and Product Scanning
If you use camera or product scanning features, Sunclub may request camera access so you can scan or capture product information. Camera access is optional and can be revoked in Apple system settings.
Tracking, Ads, and Analytics
Sunclub does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking. Sunclub does not sell personal information.
Retention and Deletion
App data remains on your device unless you delete it, remove the app, import or restore a backup, or use Apple system settings to remove related iCloud data. If iCloud sync is enabled, deleting iCloud app data through Apple settings may remove synced data from devices connected to the same Apple ID.
Children
Sunclub is not directed to children and does not include child-directed advertising or tracking.
Medical Disclaimer
Sunclub is a habit tracker, not a medical device or medical advice. Sunscreen needs vary by skin, product, activity, weather, location, and medical history. Follow product directions and consult a qualified professional for medical questions.
Changes
This policy may be updated as Sunclub changes. The current policy will remain available at this page.
