Privacy Details

Sunclub is built as a local-first sunscreen habit tracker. You do not need an account, we do not show ads, and your history is not sold.

Your data stays yours

Sunclub stores sunscreen logs, optional SPF details, notes, reminders, widgets, backup state, and history needed to run the features you choose.

No accounts or ads

Sunclub does not run app-owned accounts, advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking.

iCloud is optional

Optional iCloud sync can keep your history available across your Apple devices through your iCloud.

Sharing is optional

Activity sharing sends only the friend details and reminders needed to keep sunscreen buddies in sync.

You stay in control

Export your history, import a backup, delete local app data by removing Sunclub, and manage synced data in Apple settings.

Location and UV

Location is optional. When you allow it, Sunclub can show local UV context and forecast guidance. Manual logging works without location.

Notifications

Sunclub uses local notifications only after you allow them. Reminders can help you apply, reapply, or review your week.

Activity sharing

When you turn on Activity sharing, Sunclub uses Apple's public CloudKit database to send invite responses, friend display names, day status snapshots, relationship tokens, and poke reminder messages. This data is used only for Activity sharing and notifications, not tracking, ads, or analytics.

Apple Shortcuts

Shortcuts can log sunscreen or check status using your Sunclub settings. You can turn automation writes off in the app.

Camera, HealthKit, and backups

Camera, HealthKit, backup export, and backup import are used only when you choose those features. Apple system permissions can be changed later.
